The Database Development Team Manager plays a pivotal role in leading the Database Development team to maintain and improve the University’s core systems, which support essential functions such as Admissions, Student Management, Finance, HR, and Research Systems.

Job Description:

We are seeking candidates with a degree or significant equivalent experience. You should have a proven track record in managing, mentoring, and supporting development teams, as well as managing third-party suppliers and contractors.

A strong background in software development is required, particularly in Oracle database development. You should be familiar with the full development lifecycle and have expertise in development and architectural approaches.

Experience with project methodologies such as PRINCE2 and Agile (preferably Scrum) is essential. You will need to demonstrate strong planning and workload management skills.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical abilities and be confident interacting with a wide range of stakeholders. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organisational capabilities, are required.

Salary:

This position offers a salary within the Grade 7 scale, ranging from £46,735 to £55,755 per annum.
