Secondment Opportunity for Band 6 Nurses: Clinical Site Sisters

We are excited to offer a new secondment opportunity for Band 6 nurses to join the Site Management Team as Clinical Site Sisters.

This position will operate during the working day, from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, including weekend shifts. Clinical Site Sisters will be a key, visible member of the Site Team, engaging with wards and departments throughout the day. The role involves close collaboration with Site Matrons and patient flow teams, providing senior nursing support to wards facing discharge challenges that require intervention to ensure successful outcomes.

Main Duties:

  • This role is highly mobile, requiring on-site presence at both Hull Royal and Castle Hill hospitals, including weekends, to facilitate face-to-face discussions with all healthcare groups.
  • You will attend regular bed meetings to provide updates on patient flow and action points assigned by the Site Management team.
  • As a senior nurse, you will support ward areas that require assistance with discharge and patient flow issues.
