Medivet Quarrington, Sleaford | Full-Time or Part-Time Considered
Located in the market town of Sleaford, Lincolnshire, Medivet Quarrington is seeking a confident and surgically driven Veterinary Surgeon with a CertAVP in Small Animal Surgery (or currently working towards it). This is an opportunity for a clinician who enjoys taking ownership of complex surgical cases, contributing to case strategy, and shaping peri-operative standards within a supportive and progressive environment.

This purpose-built, modern veterinary facility is well-established within the local community and benefits from a loyal client base and an experienced clinical team. The practice features:
Five spacious consulting rooms
- Separate dog and cat wards to promote patient wellbeing
- Dedicated operating theatres equipped with advanced technology, including ECG monitoring, digital and dental radiography, orthopaedic instrumentation, and ultrasound
- A varied and busy caseload, providing exposure to both routine and advanced procedures
- Status as a training practice for veterinary surgeons and nurses
- You will be joining a collaborative team that values clinical excellence, mentorship, and continual improvement.
The Role
This position is ideal for a veterinary surgeon who thrives in surgery-led practice and wishes to further refine advanced surgical techniques.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality medical and surgical care in line with professional standards set by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS)
- Lead surgical case planning and oversee peri-operative protocols
- Create tailored treatment plans in partnership with pet owners
- Support and mentor colleagues, including trainee vets and nurses
- Contribute to internal CPD and clinical discussion forums
Working Pattern
- 40 hours across 4 days per week
- 1 in 4 Saturdays (08:30–14:30)
- Flexible or part-time options considered
