This role offers the opportunity to practise at Band 7 level, delivering a wide range of high-quality ultrasound examinations across Musgrove Park Hospital and peripheral sites, supported by modern facilities, experienced colleagues, and a strong commitment to professional development.

The refurbished Antenatal Ultrasound Unit, located adjacent to the antenatal clinic, supports approximately 3,500 women per year. This four-bed unit is equipped with state-of-the-art Canon and GE machines and delivers an integrated service led by Radiographer, Nurse, and Midwife Sonographers.

Your Role

Depending on your background and skillset, you will contribute to one or both of the following areas:

Professional Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Perform and report ultrasound examinations in line with departmental protocols and national standards
  • Take responsibility and accountability for your own clinical practice
  • Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, adapting your approach in sensitive or distressing situations
  • Contribute to service quality, safety, and patient-centred care
  • Remain up to date with professional standards and NHS developments
