We’re developing an AI-powered operating system specifically for innovation and patent professionals, designed to streamline the entire journey from idea generation to robust IP protection. Our platform integrates advanced AI tools that handle tasks like patent drafting, responding to office actions from examiners, detecting potential infringements, and conducting rapid novelty assessments across vast databases of patents and scientific publications.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Design and develop high-quality, scalable systems and intuitive user interfaces that customers rely on daily.
  • Break down complex, unclear problems into clean, production-grade software solutions using first-principles thinking.
  • Move quickly: ship features rapidly, gather real user input, and iterate continuously to improve the product.
  • Take full end-to-end responsibility for initiatives, spanning frontend, backend, infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing enhancements.
  • Establish best practices, boost team velocity, and influence our technical roadmap as the company scales.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and customers to ensure we’re building features that truly matter and drive impact.

  • Has a strong product-oriented mindset and a proven history of creating software that users genuinely value.
  • Demonstrates high agency—proactively driving results without needing constant guidance.
  • Excels in dynamic, high-speed settings with tight loops of feedback and evolving priorities.
  • Balances rapid delivery with thoughtful design, creating maintainable systems that hold up under pressure.
  • Is passionate about AI’s transformative potential, backed by relevant experience through professional work, personal projects, or open-source involvement.

Key qualifications (senior-level expectations):

  • Proven track record of independently leading projects from initial scoping through launch, iteration, and refinement based on user feedback.
  • Deep systems-level expertise: designing robust, maintainable code and troubleshooting issues across the full stack.
  • Excellent communication skills to bridge technical details with non-technical partners, including direct customer interactions when needed.
  • Strong product sense and experience collaborating with design/product teams on user-centric flows.
  • Background in fast-paced startups or environments emphasizing ownership.
  • A solid portfolio, such as shipped products, open-source contributions, or equivalent demonstrations of impact.
