About the Role
The University of Sussex is looking for two highly motivated individuals to join the newly formed Professional Services (PS) Service Efficiency and Effectiveness team as Senior Analysts. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to shaping how the University delivers its professional services more efficiently and effectively.
In this role, you will support service improvement across the institution by:
Analysing existing processes and identifying inefficiencies.
Leading workshops and stakeholder engagements to gather insights.
Mapping workflows and recommending practical, data-driven improvements.
Managing initiatives aimed at reducing complexity and improving service quality.
Reporting to the PS Service Efficiency and Effectiveness Lead, you’ll collaborate with teams across the University to embed a culture of continuous improvement and help implement more streamlined, sustainable ways of working.

About You
We’re looking for candidates with:
Experience and/or understanding of LEAN Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
A strong background in process improvement, change management, or operational efficiency.
Confidence working in project-based or agile environments.
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis.
Excellent communication abilities and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience in facilitation, process mapping, and driving meaningful change across teams.
You are passionate about making a positive difference and enthusiastic about helping teams work smarter and more effectively.
