About the Opportunity

The University of Sussex is offering an exciting internal opportunity for a Senior Education Manager within its Business School.

This is a key leadership role within professional services, responsible for managing a high-performing team and supporting the delivery of strategic priorities across education and student experience. You will work closely with senior academic leaders, particularly Associate Deans, to help shape and deliver initiatives related to teaching, global engagement, and student outcomes.

The role sits at the heart of a fast-evolving environment, where innovation, regulatory requirements, and programme development must be balanced effectively.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Leading and managing a professional services team within the Business School
  Supporting strategic delivery across education and student-focused portfolios
  Driving continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery
  Overseeing programme administration and operational processes
  Contributing to income diversification and portfolio development initiatives
  Ensuring compliance with higher education regulations and accreditation standards
  Representing the School at senior-level meetings and committees
  Using data insights to support planning and decision-making

About You

You will be an experienced higher education professional with strong operational and leadership skills.

Essential experience and skills include:

• Proven experience in academic administration or programme management
  Strong understanding of higher education structures and governance
  Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes effectively
  Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly
  Confidence in working with senior stakeholders and leading teams

Desirable experience:

• Familiarity with Business School environments and accreditation processes
  Experience supporting programme review or external accreditation
  Interest in enhancing student experience and educational quality
