Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Ambulatory Care team as a Senior Clinical Staff Nurse. This role centres on delivering high-quality, patient-focused assessment and care planning while supporting advanced ambulatory diagnostics and treatments.
You will combine strong clinical judgement with leadership responsibilities — supervising colleagues, contributing to education, and acting as a specialist resource within designated clinics. The position offers an excellent opportunity to broaden investigative and procedural skills in a fast-paced ambulatory environment while helping drive service improvement.
What You Will Be Doing
Patient Assessment & Clinical Care
- Assess individual patient needs and develop tailored programmes of care.
- Deliver safe, effective nursing interventions and evaluate outcomes.
- Provide skilled assistance across ambulatory investigations and treatments.
- Maintain high standards of documentation and patient communication.

Specialist Clinic Leadership
- Lead within a defined ambulatory specialty (for example lower urinary tract assessment).
- Troubleshoot clinical issues and maintain expert knowledge in your area.
- Order and manage investigations in compliance with radiation safety regulations.

Education & Team Development
- Supervise junior staff and students in clinical practice.
- Support learning, mentorship and skill development.
- Promote reflective practice and continuous improvement.
Operational Responsibility
- Act in charge of the clinical area when required.
- Support workflow and safe care delivery during busy periods.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives aligned with Lean methodology.

Essential Requirements
Professional Registration
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrable teaching and assessing experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Clinical experience in ambulatory or investigative settings.
Desirable
- Diploma or degree-level nursing education.
- Health assessment training.
- Two years’ relevant Band 5 experience.
