Registered Nurse UK Visa Sponsorship

£33 - £41 / year

Job Description

We are thrilled to offer a rewarding role for a dedicated and dynamic Registered Nurse to become part of the innovative OPAT (Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy) team at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

Our OPAT service delivers expert, specialized care to adult patients dealing with complicated infection-related illnesses. This happens through flexible ambulatory pathways and our growing Hospital at Home model, allowing hospital-standard treatment in the comfort of patients’ own homes.

Most of our care currently takes place in the ambulatory setting within the Day Medical Unit at Forth Valley Royal Hospital. We’re actively expanding to support even more individuals at home, collaborating closely with the Hospital @ Home multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality care outside traditional hospital walls.

You’ll join a supportive OPAT and Hospital @ Home team, with opportunities to rotate between both services. This flexible approach ensures comprehensive coverage and helps deliver the best possible patient experience.

The OPAT and Hospital at Home approach plays a key role in supporting early discharge from acute inpatient care and avoiding unnecessary hospital admissions for those with complex infections in the community. By creating effective virtual wards, we help free up hospital resources while keeping care patient-centered and close to home.

These virtual ward models, including OPAT services, represent a fast-evolving priority area across the NHS in Scotland, backed by Scottish Government initiatives to expand virtual capacity and Hospital at Home programs. For more on Scotland’s Hospital at Home developments, see the Scottish Government’s updates here and related guidance on virtual capacity here.

We’re seeking a nurse with solid post-registration experience, enabling you to deliver confident, competent care for patients with complex infectious diseases—whether in the ambulatory unit or home setting. You should thrive in a collaborative environment, working seamlessly across professional and organizational boundaries alongside acute care nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals.

Key attributes we value include strong prioritization skills to handle variable workloads, the ability to stay composed and focused in a fast-paced environment, adaptability, and a readiness to travel within the local area as needed.
