About the Role
As a Registered Nurse (RGN) at Barchester Healthcare, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to residents in our care home. Your role involves meeting the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents, promoting their independence and dignity, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical care.
You will work autonomously while being supported by a dedicated care team and clinical leads, using your professional expertise to make important decisions and provide compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care tailored to each resident’s individual needs
Create and implement personalized care plans
Safely administer medication in line with current guidelines and procedures
Conduct detailed risk assessments and ensure regulatory compliance
Monitor and manage residents’ physical and mental health conditions
Collaborate with care staff, families, and other healthcare professionals
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records
Support a positive, safe, and inclusive home environment for all residents
About You
To be successful in this role, you must have:
Essential:
Valid NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN)
Sound clinical knowledge and up-to-date nursing practice
Experience in developing and reviewing care plans and conducting risk assessments
A solid understanding of care regulations and frameworks including:
Mental Capacity Act (MCA)
Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
Royal Pharmaceutical Society Guidelines
A compassionate, patient-centred approach to nursing
Strong communication and teamwork skills
