We are looking for a warm, organised and dependable Receptionist to join our front-line team at Deepdale Encliffe Mount, Bakewell. This is more than a front desk role — you will be the first point of contact for patients, families and professionals, helping to create a calm and positive environment from the moment someone walks through the door.

What You’ll Be Doing
Front Desk & Patient Support
- Welcoming patients and visitors professionally and courteously
- Managing check-ins using clinical systems
- Handling incoming calls and responding to enquiries
- Coordinating appointments and meeting room bookings
- Maintaining accurate data entry and records
Administration & Organisation
- Using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) confidently
- Managing digital calendars and coordinating meetings
- Responding to queries from staff, service users and external agencies
- Supporting the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) during periods of administrative leave
- This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organisational ability and a clear understanding of confidentiality responsibilities under UK GDPR
- You will also be expected to follow NHS Data Security standards and national safeguarding requirements.

What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- RSA Word Processing/Typing Grade II or equivalent experience
- Good standard of general education
- Confident use of Microsoft Office packages
- Excellent spelling and grammar
- Strong communication skills with the public and professionals
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload
- Calm, professional approach under pressure
- Understanding of confidentiality and information governance
Desirable
- Previous receptionist or front-of-house experience
- Administrative or clerical background
- Ability to take meeting notes
- You must also be comfortable handling telephone enquiries and inputting data accurately.
Important Information
This role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and requires an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
