Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Project Manager to join the Dowty Engineering Platforms and Projects team. In this role, you will lead engineering activities related to both new technology introduction research and development projects, as well as engineering sustainment activities for in-service propeller systems.

For new technology projects, you will lead and support engineering efforts to advance propeller technologies, addressing the future needs of aviation sustainability and contributing to Dowty’s broader flight strategy within GE Aerospace.

For in-service sustainment, you will be the primary technical point of contact for your assigned propeller platform, liaising with airframers, operators, suppliers, and internal Dowty teams. You will oversee all engineering activities, including supporting in-service operations, investigating quality and manufacturing issues, identifying in-service trends, managing design changes, and supporting repair activities.

Both project types will involve a significant amount of mechanical and manufacturing work. Experience in composite design, tooling design, composite manufacturing, structural testing, and hydromechanical control systems will be essential. The role may require occasional travel within the UK and internationally to support project partners, customers, suppliers, and engineering service providers.
