About the Role
The University of Reading is launching a major Professional Services Programme, designed to support long-term financial sustainability, improve service delivery, and enhance the overall experience for students and staff.
We are seeking a Programme Administration Officer to provide high-quality, professional administrative support to ensure the smooth and successful delivery of this important programme. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved from the beginning, playing a key role in supporting the new programe team and helping to deliver real, measurable benefits across the University.
You will be based in the Executive and Governance Office, working alongside experienced colleagues and gaining valuable insight into programme management within a dynamic higher education environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide efficient and effective administrative support to the programme team
Organize and support meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on actions
Support the coordination of programme activities and maintain accurate records
Liaise with a wide range of stakeholders across the University
Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation
Help track programme progress and ensure tasks are completed to schedule
About You
We are looking for an organized and proactive individual with:
Experience working in a busy office or administrative environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The ability to engage professionally and constructively with colleagues at all levels
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint)
An interest in project and program management is desirable
