Office Manager – Required for April 2025
Hours: 35 hours per week
Working Pattern: Part-time, Term-time only
(Salary will be pro-rated for part-time and term-time only)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Office Manager to join our brand-new school, starting in April 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our growing team and make a real impact on the lives of children who have been permanently excluded from school or are at high risk of exclusion. As an Office Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth running of the school and contributing to a positive, welcoming environment for both staff and students. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about learning, has strong organizational skills, works well within a team, and engages with pupils in a calm, positive, and caring manner.
About Us:
East Sussex Academy is the newly established Pupil Referral Unit provider for East Sussex, offering education for pupils who have been permanently excluded or are at risk of permanent exclusion. We will operate across three sites: one primary (ages 5-11) and two secondary (ages 11-16). Our first secondary site will open in Newhaven in April 2025. This is a pivotal time for the school as we shape an inspiring and inclusive environment for the children in our care.
As part of a dedicated, forward-thinking team, you will play a key role in helping us provide an exceptional education. We offer induction training and continuous professional development (CPD) to ensure that all staff are equipped with the latest educational tools and practices, keeping children at the heart of everything we do.
We are looking for resilient, kind, caring, and dedicated individuals to join our team as we build our school from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day administrative operations of the school
Support staff and pupils to ensure the smooth functioning of the school
Be a welcoming point of contact for pupils, parents, and external stakeholders
Assist with the management of school resources, including student records and schedules
Ensure compliance with relevant safeguarding and educational regulations
