About the Role
Skills Provision is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected automotive employer based in Essex. We are seeking a highly experienced Master Technician who takes pride in technical excellence, diagnostic accuracy, and leadership within a workshop environment.
This position is ideally suited to a fully qualified technician with significant dealership or brand experience who is ready to play a senior, hands-on role within a professional automotive operation. Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is available for suitable international candidates.

- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 am – 6:00 pm

Key Responsibilities
As a Master Technician, you will be expected to lead by example and maintain the highest technical standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out advanced diagnostics to accurately identify vehicle faults
- Inspecting vehicles and systems to ensure safety and reliability
- Completing all job cards, reports, and documentation with precision
- Referring to manufacturer manuals and technical bulletins when required
- Testing mechanical and electronic components to confirm functionality
- Performing repairs and servicing to an exceptional standard
- Ensuring workshop cleanliness, organisation, and safe working practices
- Adhering to all Health and Safety legislation and internal procedures
- Supporting, mentoring, and guiding junior technicians within the team
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should demonstrate:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior automotive technician role
- A recognised Master Technician qualification (e.g. IMI Level 4 or equivalent)
- Previous experience within a major automotive brand or dealership environment
- Strong technical knowledge of petrol, diesel, and hybrid powertrains
- A valid UK driving licence or international equivalent
(Support available for licence conversion if required) - Strong leadership qualities and the ability to command respect
- A collaborative mindset with a commitment to developing others
