About the Role

As a Master Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out high-level diagnostics, servicing, and repair work, while also taking on a mentoring role to help develop junior technicians. You will work with the latest Volkswagen Group technology and benefit from continuous training through our dedicated learning programs.

Location Highlights

The position is based at Citygate West London (Brentford)—a modern 25-ramp workshop equipped with industry-leading tools, an indoor used car showroom, and an on-site multistorey car park. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and maintenance in alignment with manufacturer standards
• Diagnose advanced technical and electrical faults and recommend appropriate solutions
• Carry out electronic vehicle health checks (eHVC) and produce detailed advisory reports
• Communicate directly with customers and Service Advisors regarding diagnostic findings
• Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
• Attend training to stay up to date on evolving technologies, including EV systems
• Support process improvements within the workshop and dealership
• Mentor and train apprentice and developing technicians
• Report repair activities to the Workshop Controller to gain authorisation where needed
• Assist with tools and equipment assessments and escalate issues when appropriate

Who We’re Looking For

Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

• Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualification (VAG background preferred)
• Mandatory: VAG Master Technician Accreditation (required for sponsorship eligibility)
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly
• High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet workshop deadlines
• A customer-focused approach and professional attitude
