Your Role

As a Lecturer, you will balance teaching, research, and service responsibilities. Your work will play a key role in shaping both student experience and the School’s academic profile.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering engaging teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Property Law
Designing and developing course content that reflects current legal developments
Producing high-quality research outputs aligned with REF expectations (3* and 4*)
Supporting curriculum enhancement and student-focused initiatives
Providing academic guidance and pastoral support to students
Contributing to administrative duties and wider School activities
Collaborating with colleagues on teaching, research, and engagement initiatives

About You

We are looking for a motivated and collaborative academic who is passionate about both teaching and research.

You should have:

A degree in Law or a closely related subject
A PhD (completed or near completion)
Evidence of research activity appropriate to your career stage
Specialist knowledge in Property Law
Strong teaching and communication skills
The ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to diverse audiences
Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
A team-oriented and flexible approach to work

Desirable attributes include:

Experience of teaching in higher education
Involvement in academic administration or student support
A clear and achievable five-year research plan
Interest in curriculum development or enhancing the student experience
