About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lecturer in Midwifery to join our vibrant team within the School of Health and Social Care.
As a member of the Midwifery Subject Group, you will:
Teach and support students on our Midwifery, Women’s Health, and other related programmes.
Contribute to curriculum design, module leadership, and academic advising.
Provide personal tutoring and pastoral support to students.
Engage in scholarship, research, or professional practice in line with your chosen academic pathway (Learning & Teaching, Research, or Professional Practice).
You will be part of an interprofessional, collaborative academic community committed to providing outstanding education and preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals.

What You’ll Need
 Essential Qualifications and Experience:
Registered Midwife (RM) with current Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.
Doctoral-level qualification (or equivalent professional standing).
Experience in teaching, assessing, and supporting learners in a higher education and/or clinical environment.
A growing research profile, evidenced by publications, scholarly outputs, or professional dissemination.
Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional and academic development.
Relevant clinical midwifery experience.
PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) membership.

Additional Information
Contract type: Permanent, Part-Time (0.6 FTE / 21 hours per week)
Salary range: £46,049 – £58,255 per annum (pro rata, Grade 6)
Start date: To be confirmed

The University may be able to sponsor international applicants for this post.
However, as this is a part-time role, eligibility for sponsorship will depend on individual circumstances and compliance with the Skilled Worker Visa salary thresholds.
