Inspire the Next Generation of Finance Professionals
Henley Business School is seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Finance to join the Department of Finance & Accounting on a Teaching Intensive (T&I) pathway. This role is ideal for an academic who is passionate about delivering high-quality finance education and shaping students’ analytical, technical, and professional capabilities.
You will contribute to undergraduate and pre-experience postgraduate programmes, supporting students as they prepare for careers in financial services, banking, consultancy, and corporate finance.
Your Contribution
In this teaching-focused role, you will:
- Deliver engaging and rigorous teaching across core finance modules.
- Teach subjects such as Financial Economics, Financial Markets, Financial Stability, Sustainable Finance, Programming in Finance, Machine Learning, and Textual Analysis (depending on expertise).
- Integrate industry-relevant tools into teaching, including Bloomberg and LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) educational platforms.
- Support module leadership, student administration, and assessment processes.
- Contribute to academic citizenship and departmental leadership activities where appropriate.
- The Finance & Accounting Department includes both Finance (based at the ICMA Centre) and Accountancy. This post will focus on contributions within the Finance area.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate:
- A PhD in Finance (completed or near completion).
- Experience teaching Finance in English at a UK higher education institution.
- Proficiency in using Bloomberg and LSEG platforms for teaching.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver applied, technology-enhanced learning.
- Commitment to inclusive teaching and student support.
