About the Role
As a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Fashion & Textile Design, you will contribute to our BA (Hons) Fashion & Textile Design course—a programme designed to support both specialisation and hybrid creative practice. You’ll be part of a team fostering collaboration, sustainability, and innovation within fashion education.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, practice-informed teaching across fashion and textile disciplines
- Support students in developing sustainable and commercially viable fashion practices
- Contribute to curriculum development, module delivery, and assessment
- Maintain active engagement with academic research and/or industry practice
- Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to enrich the student experience
- Inspire students to become confident, enterprising graduates ready for the creative sector
About You
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have academic or industry experience in Fashion and/or Textile Design
- Demonstrate knowledge of sustainable design practices and fashion manufacturing
- Are committed to enhancing student employability through innovative teaching
- Possess a sound understanding of the theoretical and cultural dimensions of fashion education
- Have experience in teaching, curriculum development, or research (preferred for Grade 8)
- Can evidence a developing or established academic and/or professional profile
Applicants with limited teaching experience are encouraged to apply; suitable candidates will be appointed at the entry point of the Grade 7 scale.
