About the Practice
Medivet Quarrington is a modern, purpose-built veterinary practice with a strong reputation for providing excellent care to animals and outstanding service to pet owners. The clinic serves a loyal client base and manages a varied and engaging caseload, making it an exciting place to develop your clinical expertise.
Our facility has been designed to support efficient workflows and high standards of patient care. The practice includes five consulting rooms, separate wards for dogs and cats, and well-equipped operating theatres with advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment such as ECG monitoring, digital radiography, in-house laboratory testing, ultrasound imaging, and dental equipment.
Medivet is currently developing this site to become a dedicated 24-hour veterinary centre for the region, which means this role offers excellent long-term career potential.
In addition, the practice actively contributes to professional development as a training location for veterinary nurses and recently qualified vets participating in the Medivet Graduate Support Programme.
Role Overview
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinary surgeon looking to progress professionally within a supportive and forward-thinking team. You will work closely with skilled colleagues to deliver exceptional veterinary care while also helping guide and mentor others within the practice.

Key Responsibilities
As part of the clinical team, your role will typically involve:
- Delivering high-quality clinical care during consultations and surgical procedures
- Diagnosing conditions and designing personalised treatment plans for patients
- Providing clear guidance and communication to pet owners about treatment options and aftercare
- Collaborating with veterinary nurses, support staff, and fellow clinicians to ensure smooth practice operations
- Supporting the development of colleagues by sharing knowledge and clinical expertise
- Ensuring professional standards and regulatory compliance are maintained in all areas of practice
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a veterinary professional who is passionate about delivering excellent patient care and building trusted relationships with clients.
Ideal candidates will:
- Be qualified veterinary surgeons registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS)
- Have solid clinical experience and confidence in general practice
- Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Show enthusiasm for mentoring, collaboration, and continuous professional development
- Be motivated to contribute to the future growth and success of the practice
- Applications are particularly welcomed from experienced vets who are ready to take on a leadership or mentoring role within the team.
