Lead Veterinary Surgeon

 What You’ll Be Doing

As Lead Veterinary Surgeon you will:

  • Provide excellent clinical care in consults and surgery.
  • Set and promote high veterinary and surgical standards.
  • Mentor and develop a supportive team of RVNs and students.
  • Build strong client relationships with clear, evidence-based decisions.
  • Work with the Head Nurse on rota planning and workflow.
  • Lead audits, protocols and quality-improvement initiatives.

 About You

You’re the right fit if you:

  • Hold MRCVS registration and have solid general practice experience.
  • Enjoy leadership and helping others grow.
  • Are confident with both routine and some more complex medical/surgical cases.
  • Have, or are working toward, a postgraduate certificate (supported by us!).

 Rota & Hours

  • 3–4 days per week (with a 1-in-3 Saturday morning rota).
  • No Bank Holidays, no out-of-hours on-call.
