Job Description

The Opportunity

A busy 24-hour veterinary hospital is seeking a Lead Vet ready to step into a senior clinical and leadership role. This position is ideal for an experienced, confident all-round clinician who wants to influence how a hospital operates — shaping standards, mentoring colleagues, and delivering outstanding patient care.

While a medical leaning is welcomed, the most important qualities are sound clinical judgement, leadership mindset, and a passion for developing both people and practice.

You’ll work alongside an experienced, collaborative team with strong operational support, allowing you to focus on clinical excellence and service quality.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver high-quality consultations, diagnostics, and surgical care
  • Build practical, client-focused treatment plans
  • Lead by example in clinical standards and patient safety
  • Mentor and support colleagues’ development
  • Foster a positive, collaborative team environment
  • Maintain regulatory and operational compliance

About You

You are:

  • A qualified MRCVS veterinary surgeon
  • Confident in general practice and clinical decision-making
  • Motivated to guide and support others
  • Committed to exceptional patient and client care
  • Interested in shaping a hospital environment
  • Leadership experience is welcomed — but clinicians ready to grow into a lead role are strongly encouraged to apply.
