JOB SUMMARY

 

Job Title: Technical Operations Manager for Power BI.

Salary range: £33,300 – £43,400.

Location: Cambridge/Hybrid.

Contract: Permanent/full-time.

This is a great opportunity for a Technical Operations Manager (Power BI) to join our Operation Excellence team, where you will help teams throughout Cambridge English deliver test services to candidates by developing visualisations and reports.

About the role

This role supports operational colleagues in English by contextualising and clarifying information provided by our IT systems using Power BI and other technologies.

The main accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating and maintaining excellent management information visualisations using Power BI to analyse and provide clarity to support better decision making for assessment operations.
  • Support the Power Platform Developers as needed in assisting the larger business unit with the above-mentioned objectives, as well as offering professional insight, advice, and direction to other English Assessment Operations teams.

About You

You will have extensive experience using data visualisation tools such as Power BI. In addition, you will have demonstrated the capacity to collaborate with both professional and non-specialist colleagues of diverse computer literacy levels. You will also take a creative approach to issue solving to ensure that the best solution is discovered. An awareness of data architecture best practices would also be useful.

To be a successful member of the English Operational Excellence Team, we need someone who:

  • Has advanced knowledge of programming languages like SQL, DAX, and M Query.
  • Data analysis and dealing with relational data
  • Has good oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work alone or cooperatively as needed to achieve deadlines.
