Job Description

 

Summary

The Civil Power Production Planner is in charge of translating the Central Planning team’s Master Production Schedule (MPS) into a realistic Production Plan for the Civil Power Value Stream. The Production Planner must evaluate capacity and limits and hold the Production team accountable for executing the plan. This role entails analysing a 13-week timeframe, and often more, while collaborating closely with Material Planners, Sourcing, Operations, and other critical functions.

 

Roles and responsibilities

  • Conversion of MPS to Value Stream Production Plan at numerous build levels.
  • Support MPS creations and reschedules that are aligned with the business plan.
  • Create a production plan that takes into account process, machine, and resource capability.
  • Drive actions for important deliverables on work in progress (WIP) and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create build forecasts and Clear to Launch (CTL) statuses.
  • Develop Production Planning tools and computations, while contributing to site standardisation.
  • Communicate the Plan’s status to all levels of the firm.
  • Capability to balance numerous Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for delivery, inventory, and cost
  • Work with the Materials Leader to deliver on personal priorities related to KPIs.
