JOB SUMMARY

Our Radiotherapy Department is at the forefront of cancer treatment, offering accessible and high-quality care to our Somerset patients.

We are now searching for a Quality Manager to help us move the service ahead and guarantee that our radiation offering meets the highest quality requirements.

You will join our dynamic multidisciplinary team at Musgrove Park Hospital’s Beacon Centre, a purpose-built and sophisticated facility for cancer patients. The position is part-time and provides opportunities for flexible and hybrid working.

Main responsibilities, tasks, and abilities required

As the Quality Manager in Radiotherapy Services, you will give advanced assistance to all aspects of clinical governance and ensure the continued success of the Quality Management System, which covers Clinical Oncology, Radiotherapy, and Radiotherapy Physics.

You’ll become a key member of the senior management MDT, based in Radiotherapy Physics, providing strategic leadership for the quality, risk, patient safety, and audit functions across all aspects of radiotherapy service provision, and you’ll be able to complete the majority of tasks independently, ensuring continuous service quality improvement.

Although past experience in radiotherapy or healthcare would be advantageous, we are primarily interested in hearing from individuals with extensive experience in quality management in any area.

About us.

As an organisation, the NHS provides a wide range of advantages, including flexible working, outstanding pension contributions, market-leading annual leave allowance, career advancement, and regular talks, not to mention our Blue Light Card and NHS exclusive discounts.

You will be able to enjoy these benefits while being only a stone’s throw away from lively city centres such as Bristol, Bath, and Exeter, and only two hours from London.
