About the Opportunity
We currently have openings for both a Day Hospitalist and a Nocturnist.
Day Hospitalist: Traditional daytime inpatient care.
Nocturnist: Exclusive overnight schedule; ideal for candidates who excel during nighttime clinical operations and enjoy the autonomy and quiet focus of nocturnal work.
Both roles offer the chance to practice meaningful, relationship-driven medicine in one of Ohio’s most dynamic cities.

At Mt. Carmel East, you’ll join a supportive and well-established group that includes:
- 18 physicians
- 7 advanced practice providers (APPs)
- A clinical performance nurse, clinical performance associate, and group coordinator

 Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to team-based care
- H1B candidates are welcome full in-house support is provided, and all visa filing fees are covered
Work-Life Balance: Built Into the Schedule
Our standard schedule is 7 on / 7 off, but flexibility is core to how we work. Team members support each other when someone needs time for family, travel, or personal commitments. Time off is respected and protected.
 What You’ll Do
- Manage a wide range of inpatient cases within an open ICU (procedures and code leadership are not required; intensivists are available).
- Collaborate daily with nurses, specialists, case managers, and other clinical partners.
- Help train medical and APP students from local programs on an as-needed basis.
- Participate in team check-ins two to three times weekly and join monthly regional meetings for performance discussions and practice updates.
