Please Note: This role is specifically for individuals currently in the UK on a skilled worker or healthcare visa and looking to transfer their sponsorship to another domiciliary care provider. Applicants must already reside locally and have access to their own accommodation. A full UK driving license is required (unless you have been in the UK for less than 12 months, in which case a valid license from your home country will suffice). Previous care experience and confidence in driving in the UK are essential.
About Candlelight Care:
Candlelight Care is currently offering limited sponsorship transfers for the following areas: Glastonbury, Street, Wells, and Shepton Mallet in Somerset.

Every day in Health and Social Care brings new challenges and rewards. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will develop relationships with your clients, understanding their interests, needs, and providing emotional and practical support. You will assist with personal care (e.g., washing, toileting, dressing), help with domestic tasks and meal preparation, all tailored to the individual’s preferences. You will also assist with medication, mobility aids, and personal equipment, while reporting any significant changes in the health or circumstances of clients to the Registered Manager.

We Offer:
Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours per week for a steady, regular income.
Salary: A minimum annual salary of £23,200.
Shifts: A mix of morning and/or evening shifts, with every weekend required and two days off during the week.
Training: Fully paid induction and continuous training throughout your sponsorship.
Uniform and Equipment: Provided, including a work mobile.

Qualifications & Eligibility:
Experience: At least two years of experience in a care-based role, whether in domiciliary care, a care home, or hospital setting (UK experience not required).
Current Sponsorship: You must already be in the UK and on sponsorship with another domiciliary care provider and willing to transfer your sponsorship to Candlelight Care.
Driver’s License & Vehicle: A full driving license and access to your own vehicle are essential. A willingness to relocate to the Shepton Mallet area is required, although local candidates will be preferred.
Personal Attributes: We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a genuine passion for improving the lives of others.
