About the Role
Minehead Medical Centre is seeking a compassionate General Practitioner (GP) with a special interest in palliative and end-of-life care. This is an exciting opportunity to lead clinical palliative care in both the practice and the local community, including care homes and patient homes.
You will join a supportive, values-led team within OneMedical Group, a family-run organisation delivering NHS services at scale with innovation and compassion.
 Key Responsibilities
As a GP with a palliative care focus, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred generalist and specialist palliative care across practice and community settings
- Lead anticipatory care planning, including advance care planning and DNACPR discussions
- Support symptom management, medication optimisation, and reducing avoidable hospital admissions
- Act as a clinical lead for palliative care, mentoring colleagues and contributing to service development
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including community nursing, hospice, social care, and secondary care providers

 Candidate Requirements
- Registered GP on the GMC GP Specialty Register and NHS Performers List
- Post-CCT experience in Primary or Urgent Care
- Postgraduate training or experience in palliative care (e.g., Diploma in Palliative Medicine, RCGP modules)
- Strong experience providing high-quality care to patients with advanced illness
- Excellent multidisciplinary collaboration skills
- Organised, proactive, and passionate about delivering compassionate care

 Hours & Working Patterns
- Part-time: 20 hours per week (pro-rata equivalent of full-time 40 hours)
- 15-minute patient appointments
- Portfolio opportunities may include multi-service responsibilities within the organisation

- Salary: Up to £110,000 pro-rata
