Job Description
About the Role
Are you looking to grow your GP career without the weight of partnership or management responsibilities?
Would you enjoy variety, flexibility, and the reassurance of working within well-established, friendly practices?
We’re inviting an adaptable and enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our permanent floater team, supporting a small network of supportive Tameside practices. This role offers stability with variety — you’ll have a main base practice, with occasional planned cover across our other sites when colleagues are on leave.
It’s a great fit for GPs who enjoy teamwork, continuity of care, and a well-run clinical environment.
How the Role Works
- Most of your time will be spent at one designated practice, where you will:
- Run routine GP clinics (face-to-face and telephone)
- Manage clinical administration, including blood results, hospital correspondence, and Docman workflow
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care in line with NHS best practice
From time to time, you’ll also:
- Provide short-term clinical cover at our other local practices
- Support service continuity during GP leave or temporary staffing gaps
- All practices use EMIS Web and Docman, ensuring consistency and ease when working across sites.
What We Offer
- Permanent salaried role with flexible sessions (4–8)
- Competitive pay of £10,500 per session
- 6 weeks’ annual leave
- Indemnity cover included
- No weekends, no extended hours
- Supportive, experienced teams with a strong training ethos
- Opportunity to develop a portfolio career alongside clinical work
- Tier 2 / Skilled Worker visa sponsorship available
About Us
Our practices are known for being friendly, welcoming, and well-organised, with diverse clinical interests across the team, including:
- Women’s health
- Palliative care
- Minor surgery
- GP training and mentorship
We value collaboration, fairness, and sustainable workloads — and we aim to create an environment where GPs can focus on patient care while feeling supported and respected.
