An expanding environmental services company in London is seeking a practical, reliable Drainage Engineer to join its growing field team. This recruitment campaign is being managed by Skills Provision Ltd, an international recruitment specialist.
The employer delivers drainage and environmental support services to both commercial and private clients across the London region. As demand increases, they are strengthening their operational workforce with hands-on professionals who take pride in practical problem-solving.

The Nature of the Role
This is a field-based, physically active position suited to someone who enjoys practical work and varied daily tasks. You will travel to different sites across London, handling drainage issues and supporting environmental maintenance operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Drainage repairs, excavation, and light civil works
- Jetting operations and blockage clearance
- Manhole installation and system maintenance
- Supporting pest control-related drainage tasks
- Operating tools and specialist machinery
- Driving light commercial vehicles (up to 3.5 tonnes)
- Attending training sessions as required
- No two days are identical — flexibility and adaptability are key.
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- Previous drainage or environmental services experience is beneficial but not mandatory
- Background in construction, civil works, handyman, or related trades is highly valued
- Experience driving light commercial vehicles (up to 3.5 tonnes)
- Licensing
- Valid UK driving licence or International Driving Permit
- Support will be provided if licence conversion is required
- Personal Qualities
- Strong work ethic
- Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor manual work
- Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
- Dependable and safety-conscious
Pay & Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate (£15.47–£18.61)
