About the Role

Skills Provision Ltd is recruiting a Drainage Engineer to join a growing environmental services company based in London. This is a hands-on technical role focused on drainage and pest control operations across both commercial and residential sites.

Key Responsibilities

As a Drainage Engineer, you will:

  • Carry out drainage maintenance, repairs, excavation, and installation of manholes
  • Use jetting equipment and other tools to safely resolve blockages
  • Respond to site work requests (commercial & private properties)
  • Operate light machinery and tools in line with safety standards
  • Drive light commercial vehicles (up to 3.5 tonnes) to job locations
  • Attend training for new procedures and equipment
  • Safety and compliance are critical — refer to the UK Health & Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines
     HSE – Working safely in construction

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need to be an expert — previous experience in a drainage role is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates who have worked in construction, handyman services, or similar physical roles tend to succeed in this position.

 Required Qualities:

  • Hard-working and physically fit
  • Comfortable working outdoors and on varied job sites
  • Ability to drive light commercial vehicles
