About the Opportunity
Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a dedicated, confident and forward-thinking Band 6 Midwife to join our established community midwifery service. You will work within one of our locality teams covering Mansfield, Ashfield, Sherwood or Newark, helping deliver personalised maternity care to women and families across the region.
The position involves a combination of flexible working hours and participation in a night-on-call rota to respond to the needs of women in the community.
 What the Role Involves
As a key member of our community midwifery team, you will:
- Provide safe, compassionate and evidence-based care throughout pregnancy, birth planning, and the postnatal period.
- Deliver complete midwifery care to women with both uncomplicated (low-risk) and more complex (high-risk) needs in the home and community setting.
- Support women in making informed decisions and promote continuity of care across the maternity journey.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, GPs, health visitors, and other community-based services to ensure safe and seamless care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold professional standards in accordance with national guidelines.
- Offer guidance, emotional support and skilled clinical assessment to women and families.
