About the Role

As the ADHD Team Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring that care is safe, effective, and responsive to demand.

You’ll lead across the full ADHD pathway—from referral and assessment through to diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing review—ensuring that patients and families receive timely, coordinated support.

Your Key Areas of Responsibility

Clinical & Service Leadership

  • Maintain high standards of evidence-based ADHD care
    Support complex clinical decision-making and risk management
    Promote a safe, therapeutic environment for young people and families
    Ensure compliance with safeguarding and relevant legislation

Operational Management

  • Oversee caseloads, waiting lists, and service demand
    Use data to improve access, flow, and productivity
    Manage staffing, rotas, and service resources
    Lead on incidents, complaints, and service improvements

Team Development & Supervision

  • Provide managerial supervision and ensure access to clinical supervision
    Support recruitment, induction, and performance management
    Build a positive, inclusive, and motivated team culture
    Encourage reflective practice and continuous learning

Partnership & Collaboration

  • Work closely with schools, GPs, social care, and external partners
    Represent the service in multi-agency settings
    Communicate effectively with families and carers

Quality Improvement & Governance

  • Lead audits, governance processes, and quality improvement initiatives
    Ensure compliance with data protection and clinical governance standards
    Monitor performance and drive ongoing service improvement

What We’re Looking For

You will bring a combination of leadership experience and clinical expertise, including:

Essential

  • Professional registration in healthcare, social work, or a related field
    Master’s level qualification (or equivalent experience at Band 6+ level)
    Training in clinical supervision and staff development
    Significant experience managing teams and complex clinical cases
    Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and legislation

Desirable

  • Knowledge of psychological models and neurodevelopmental care
    Experience in quality improvement or service redesign
    Awareness of regional and national healthcare priorities
