About the Role

An excellent opportunity is available within an NHS Foundation Trust for a Healthcare Support Worker to join the Hospital Out of Hours Team at King’s Mill Hospital.

This role focuses on delivering essential clinical support across adult inpatient wards during evenings, nights, and weekends. You will work closely with registered nurses and senior practitioners to help maintain safe, responsive, and high-quality patient care when hospital activity is at its busiest outside regular hours.

 Your Key Responsibilities

As part of the out-of-hours team, you will:

  • Provide hands-on clinical and technical support to ward teams
  • Assist with patient care tasks under supervision of nursing staff
  • Respond promptly to requests and tasks allocated via digital systems (e.g. Nervecentre)
  • Support junior doctors and multidisciplinary teams with urgent care needs
  • Help ensure timely delivery of care across multiple hospital departments
  • Your contribution will be essential in keeping services running smoothly and safely during critical periods.
