Overview

Verwood Pharmacy is redefining what community pharmacy can look like. We operate from a 325m² purpose-built clinical facility, opened in June 2023, designed so pharmacists can prioritise patient-facing care rather than traditional dispensary-heavy workloads.

We are now seeking a forward-thinking Clinical Pharmacist who wants to lead, innovate, and grow within a modern community pharmacy setting.

  • £30 per hour

Key Responsibilities

1. Clinical Leadership

  • Deliver, expand, and evaluate NHS and private clinical services
  • Develop specialist clinics aligned with your clinical strengths
  • Maintain a robust clinical governance framework

2. Pharmacy Operations & Governance

  • Oversee efficient daily pharmacy operations
  • Implement and monitor all Standard Operating Procedures
  • Carry out Responsible Pharmacist activities with emphasis on clinical accuracy
  • Manage stock levels and ensure safe and cost-effective supply of medicines

3. Team Development

  • Coordinate and deliver training to ACTs, technicians, and support staff
  • Mentor team members through professional development pathways
  • Encourage reflective practice and continuous learning
  • Delegate operational tasks effectively using our skilled support team
  • 4. Service Innovation & Business Growth
  • Identify opportunities to expand clinical service offerings
  • Contribute to increased healthcare access for the community
  • Support business performance through service delivery excellence
  • Shape new clinical pathways and patient-centred initiatives

Candidate Profile

Essential

  • MPharm Degree
  • GPhC registration (or pending results)
  • Strong organisational ability and sense of professional accountability
  • Excellent patient communication and customer care skills
  • Confident with IT systems and pharmacy software
  • Commitment to clinical development and innovative pharmacy practice

Desirable

  • Previous clinical pharmacy experience
  • Interest in developing and running specialist clinics

Employment Information

We welcome applications from candidates who may require a Skilled Worker Visa.

  • Weekdays: 08:00–20:00
  • Saturdays: 09:00–16:00
