Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and experienced Cafe Manager to lead one of our café teams. This role is perfect for someone passionate about coffee, food, and customer experience, who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
- Lead and inspire a team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Supervise staff, provide training, and foster a positive, collaborative culture.
- Manage stock levels, ordering, and waste control in line with site targets.
- Oversee financial performance, including Tronc allocation and bonus schemes.
Customer Experience
- Deliver exceptional customer service reflecting the warm, friendly Australian spirit.
- Present menus, explain our philosophy, and ensure consistent quality in service and products.
- Maintain high standards in coffee preparation, including latte art skills, and food presentation.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations: Gov.uk – Food Business Regulations
- Monitor compliance with licensing requirements for alcohol and spirits: Gov.uk – Alcohol Licensing
- Follow employment laws and workplace safety requirements: Gov.uk – Employment Rights
- Maintain accurate documentation and operational records.
Person Specification
Skills & Attributes
- Expertise in coffee, including latte art and barista skills.
- Knowledge of spirits and classic cocktail recipes.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Energetic, proactive, and passionate about delivering the best experience for customers and staff.
- Flexible, reliable, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Full UK visa eligibility for employment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Food Safety Standards: Food Standards Agency – Level 2 Food Safety
- Experience in stock management, high-volume café operations, and team leadership.
