About the Role
Aston University is looking for a motivated and highly organised Business Development Operations Coordinator to join our Knowledge Exchange (KE) Team. This role is crucial in helping to deliver our Aston 2030 Strategy, which is committed to being Inclusive, Entrepreneurial, and Transformational.
You will support Business Development Managers by coordinating and overseeing the operational delivery of business development and knowledge exchange initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and enhancing our CRM system (HubSpot)
- Supporting collaborative research and innovation projects
- Producing data insights using PowerBI and DataCity
- Identifying and engaging with new industry partners
- Organising events and creating promotional materials and reports
- Collaborating with internal teams such as Finance and Research Support to ensure compliance and smooth project delivery
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree or equivalent relevant experience
- A background in business development or knowledge exchange
- Strong skills in using CRM systems, particularly HubSpot
- Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical abilities
- The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and work independently as well as part of a team
It would be advantageous if you also have:
- A postgraduate or business qualification
- Knowledge of the UK R&D funding landscape
- Experience working with industry stakeholders or using market research tools
