Role Responsibilities
Associate Dentists joining the team will typically be responsible for:
- Assessing patients’ oral health through dental examinations
- Diagnosing dental conditions affecting teeth and gums
- Performing dental X-rays when clinically required
- Providing appropriate dental treatments and care plans
- Educating patients on preventive oral hygiene practices
- Prescribing medications where necessary
- Maintaining high clinical safety and hygiene standards
- Delivering restorative or cosmetic dental treatments where appropriate
- Dentists with specialist interests or advanced clinical skills may have opportunities to focus on particular areas of practice.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- A recognised dentistry degree
- Registration with the General Dental Council or eligibility to register
- Strong English language communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with patients and colleagues
- Willingness to comply with workplace health and regulatory checks
- Openness to completing required NHS mentoring or training pathways if applicable
International Applicant Pathways

- EU-trained dentists already registered with the GDC
- EU-trained dentists who still need GDC registration
- Overseas dentists who previously worked in the UK and hold GDC registration
- International dentists requiring VTE mentoring (Vocational Training by Equivalence) for approximately one year
