If you’re a Veterinary Surgeon ready to step beyond a single practice and influence care across multiple locations, this role offers exactly that. Medivet is seeking a confident and proactive Area Vet to support several clinics in the Chelmsford region.

This position blends clinical work with leadership responsibilities. You’ll not only treat patients but also guide teams, improve standards, and contribute to the overall quality of care across a group of practices.

 Your Role in the Team

In this position, you’ll balance hands-on veterinary care with mentoring and strategic input. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality consultations and surgical procedures
    Supporting veterinary teams with clinical advice and best practices
    Mentoring junior vets and nurses, helping them grow professionally
    Ensuring consistent clinical standards and governance across sites
    Collaborating with teams to improve patient outcomes and client satisfaction

This is a role for someone who enjoys both clinical excellence and team development.

 What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who is:

  • Registered with the RCVS (MRCVS qualified)
    Confident in both clinical and advisory responsibilities
    Organised, approachable, and a strong communicator
    Passionate about animal welfare and client care
    Interested in leadership and continuous improvement
