Medivet is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to take on a leadership position as an Area Vet, supporting several practices across the Chelmsford region.

Key Responsibilities
In this role you will provide both clinical and leadership support to practices across the Chelmsford cluster.
Typical duties include:
- Delivering high-quality veterinary care through consultations and surgery
- Supporting veterinary surgeons and nurses with clinical guidance and mentorship
- Promoting high standards of clinical governance and patient safety
- Assisting with training and continuing professional development within the team
- Encouraging collaboration between practices in the regional network
- Helping to implement best practices across the cluster
- Professional standards for veterinary practice are regulated by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a qualified MRCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
- Have experience working in small animal clinical practice
- Demonstrate strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Be organised, approachable, and confident supporting multiple teams
- Have a passion for delivering high standards of patient care and client service
