About the Opportunity
This role offers a chance to become the welcoming face of a community mental health service. Based at Foxrush House in Redcar, you’ll join a supportive front-of-house team providing essential administrative and reception support to the Redcar & Cleveland Community Mental Health Service.
This is a people-facing position where your communication skills, organisation, and professionalism will make a real difference to service users, families, and healthcare staff.
Please note: this role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship, so applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
What You’ll Be Doing
As the first point of contact, you’ll help create a calm, respectful, and professional environment for everyone entering the service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming service users, carers, staff, and visitors
Handling incoming calls and responding to emails in a clear and timely manner
Managing appointment bookings, calendars, and correspondence
Preparing and sending letters to patients and professionals
Maintaining visitor records and issuing access passes
Sorting incoming and outgoing post
Supporting general office tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and filing
Ensuring public information in reception areas is accurate and up to date
You’ll also be expected to communicate sensitively and respectfully with individuals who may be experiencing mental health challenges or neurodiverse conditions.

What We’re Looking For
This role would suit someone organised, approachable, and comfortable working in a busy office environment.
Essential Qualifications:
- Level 2 qualification (or equivalent experience) in administration or a related field
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
Willingness to work towards a Level 3 Business Administration qualification
Experience Required:
- Previous experience in office or administrative work
Data entry and record-keeping experience
Customer service or front-facing role experience
Knowledge & Skills:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Understanding of confidentiality and data protection
Ability to handle calls and visitors professionally
Strong organisational and communication skills

- This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
Candidates must already have the right to work in the UK
