  • Salary: B1 £24,404 – £25,183
  • Hours: 30 hours per week (year-round)
  • Contract: 12-month temporary position
  • Location: Little Owls Burley

About the Role

Are you looking for an administrative career supporting nurseries and children’s centers? Join Learning for Life Service, a supportive environment offering ongoing training and career progression.

As an Administrative Assistant, you’ll be based at a Little Owls nursery or children’s center, supporting senior managers and staff with administrative and reception duties. This role requires excellent customer service skills, strong IT knowledge, and organizational abilities. The work is rewarding, fast-paced, and at times challenging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality administrative support for senior leaders and staff.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to visitors, colleagues, and service users.
  • Manage IT systems, process orders, pay invoices, and organize services.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Handle general financial administration, such as processing orders and cash handling.
  • Organize meetings, events, and induction for new staff.
  • Use Microsoft Office and database systems efficiently.
  • Take meeting notes and prepare reports.
  • Support safeguarding policies and comply with council regulations.

What We’re Looking For

We need enthusiastic, adaptable candidates who can support a busy service. You should have:

  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database management.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy.
  • Experience working in customer service or administrative roles.
  • Knowledge of office procedures and financial regulations.
