Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and experienced Band 3 Health Care Assistants or qualified Band 4 Apprentice Nursing Associates to join our Brent Community Nursing Day Service. This role involves working in one of the Brent District Nursing teams, delivering care from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, including weekends.
This is a fixed-term position, with the potential for a permanent role within the Brent community nursing team after the contract period. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available for this post.
Who We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 (or QCF equivalent) in Health and Social Care
- Minimum of 12 months’ experience in an acute or community healthcare setting
- Prior NHS experience is required
Desirable Experience
- Previous community healthcare experience (training will be provided)
- ECDL certificate or familiarity with clinical IT systems such as EMIS
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Math
This role is ideal for individuals looking to advance into the Apprenticeship Nursing Associate programmer. You will be working closely with patients in their own homes, helping them manage long-term conditions and promoting independence.
Note: A driving license is not required, as patient visits are conducted on foot.
Main Duties

Provide general and specific care under the supervision of a registered nurse or allied health professional

Deliver patient care in various community settings, including clinics, centers, and patient homes

Assist with promoting independence and person-centered care for a designated caseload

Support the team in meeting key service performance indicators

Complete competency assessments relevant to clinical practice

Contribute to the continuous improvement of care quality

Essential:
