Key Duties

As a Geography Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

– Teaching engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
– Preparing schemes of work, lesson plans and classroom resources
– Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback
– Assessing work in accordance with school and curriculum expectations
– Encouraging students to develop geographical knowledge and critical-thinking skills
– Maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment
– Working closely with colleagues within the Humanities department
– Taking an active role in the wider life of the school
– Supporting students with both their academic progress and personal development

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
– Previous experience teaching Geography within a secondary school
