The University of Sussex is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional for the role of Assistant Admissions Systems Manager within the Communications, Engagement and Advancement (CEA) Division. This permanent position is open only to current employees of the University or individuals working on campus through approved partners such as Adecco, SEF, or Chartwells.
Based in Brighton, the successful candidate will support the operational management and continuous improvement of the University’s admissions systems. Applicants should ideally have recent experience in admissions operations, scholarships administration, enquiry management, CAS compliance, or related higher education systems. Experience translating operational needs into technical requirements and improving applicant journey processes will be highly beneficial.
The postholder will also contribute to reviewing and improving existing workflows, maintaining accurate audit trails, supporting project delivery, and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues across the University.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity offering a salary between £34,610 and £38,784 per annum (Grade 6), depending on experience. Flexible working arrangements may be considered subject to operational needs.
The University campus is located near the South Downs National Park with excellent transport connections including Falmer railway station, campus bus routes, and cycling facilities. Staff also benefit from access to professional development opportunities, inclusive working culture initiatives, pension schemes, and employee wellbeing support.
