About the Role
The University of Sussex is seeking a highly organised and proactive Global Programmes Senior Coordinator to support the delivery of its international summer school and global learning activities.
This role sits within the Global Programmes team and plays a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of a range of international education initiatives, including:
- Undergraduate Summer School
Physics Summer School
Online Global Classrooms
You will be involved in coordinating day-to-day operations, supporting students and staff, and helping deliver high-quality academic and cultural experiences for international learners.
A key part of the role includes being a central contact point for students, academic staff, internal departments, and overseas partners.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Support the full cycle of enquiries, admissions, and enrolment processes
Assist in planning and delivering summer school events and activities
Coordinate student orientations, excursions, and field trips
Ensure smooth administrative and operational processes across Global Programmes
Act as a communication link between students, staff, and international partners
Support marketing activity and manage social media communications
Help deliver a positive and engaging experience for international students
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, adaptable, and confident working in a fast-paced, international environment.
You will ideally have:
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
Experience managing workloads independently using a structured, project-based approach
Confidence working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
A proactive attitude and willingness to support varied tasks
An interest in international education and student experience
This role is especially suited to someone who enjoys supporting students who may be studying abroad for the first time and helping them settle into a new academic environment.
About the Division
This role sits within the Communications, Engagement and Advancement (CEA) Division, which plays a vital role in supporting the University’s global outreach and institutional growth.
The division works closely with academic schools and international partners to attract students from around the world and strengthen Sussex’s global reputation.
It also contributes to long-term engagement with alumni and external stakeholders, helping to support research and university development.
