The Alzheimer’s Research UK Drug Discovery Institute at UCL (ARUK UDDI), based within University College London, is at the forefront of translating scientific discoveries into treatments for neurodegenerative diseases.
As part of the Dementia Discovery Alliance, alongside leading centres in Oxford and Cambridge, the institute focuses on accelerating the journey from laboratory research to viable therapeutics for conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease.

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Research Fellow to join the Screening & Pharmacology team, where you will contribute to the development of drug discovery programmes.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and support high-throughput screening workflows
Analyse complex biological datasets to inform decision-making
Contribute to target validation and pharmacological studies
Develop and refine computational and experimental pipelines
Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to advance projects
This is an exciting opportunity to play a direct role in advancing potential treatments for neurodegenerative diseases.
Candidate Profile
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A PhD in a relevant biological or biomedical discipline
Postdoctoral research experience
Experience within a drug discovery or therapeutic development setting
Strong expertise in analysing high-throughput screening data
Confidence using scientific databases and data analysis tools
You will also demonstrate:
- The ability to translate data into meaningful scientific insights
Strong organisational and communication skills
A collaborative mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities
