About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and motivated Clinical Team Manager to lead the ADHD pathway within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Scarborough.
This role blends people-focused leadership with service delivery responsibility. You will oversee the full ADHD care pathway, ensuring children and young people receive timely, safe, and effective assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing support.
You will play a key role in shaping how the service operates day-to-day—using data, clinical insight, and collaboration to improve access, reduce waiting times, and enhance outcomes for families.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leadership & Clinical Oversight
You will lead a multidisciplinary team, promoting high standards of care and ensuring services are aligned with best practice. This includes:
- Overseeing ADHD assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care
Supporting staff with complex cases, safeguarding concerns, and risk management
Maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, including the - You may also hold a small clinical caseload where appropriate.
Service & Operational Management
You will ensure the service runs efficiently and safely by:
- Managing caseloads, staff rotas, and team capacity
Monitoring demand and patient flow using performance data
Leading incident reviews, complaints handling, and service improvements
Supporting innovation and development across the ADHD pathway
Team Development & Wellbeing
A key part of your role will be nurturing and supporting your team:
- Providing regular supervision and ensuring access to clinical supervision
Leading recruitment, induction, and performance reviews
Promoting a positive, inclusive team culture focused on wellbeing and growth
Partnership Working
You will work closely with a range of partners to deliver coordinated care:
- Schools and education services
Primary care and acute services
Social care and community organisations
Strong communication with children, young people, and families will be central to your role.
Quality Improvement & Governance
You will take the lead on maintaining and improving service quality:
- Driving audit, quality improvement (QI), and governance processes

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
Professional registration in healthcare, social work, or a related field
Master’s level qualification (or equivalent experience at Band 6 or above)
Training in clinical supervision and ability to provide supervision
Recognised Practice Assessor/Supervisor status
Essential Experience
- Significant experience managing teams and leading services
Experience working with children or young people with complex needs
Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment, and clinical governance
Experience delivering supervision and supporting staff development
Knowledge of medicines management and service standards
Desirable
- Understanding of psychological models of care
Experience in research or quality improvement methodologies
Awareness of current regional and national developments in CAMHS
