About the Role
This is a meaningful opportunity to join an expanding, forward-thinking mental health service focused on early intervention and prevention for children and young people.
As part of the Wellbeing in Mind teams, you’ll work directly within schools and colleges, helping to improve mental health outcomes through evidence-based support. These teams are designed to make mental health care more accessible by integrating services across education and healthcare settings.
 What You’ll Be Doing
Your work will be split across three core areas:
1. Whole-School Wellbeing Support
- Help schools develop and implement mental health policies
- Deliver workshops, assemblies, and awareness campaigns
- Contribute to PSHE curriculum and wellbeing initiatives
2. Staff Support & Consultation
- Provide advice and guidance to teachers and school staff
- Build confidence in identifying and supporting student mental health needs
3. Direct Work with Young People
- Carry out assessments and low-intensity interventions
- Deliver structured therapies, mainly based on CBT principles
- Support individuals and groups, including parenting programmes
 Essential Requirements
- Completion of a Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma in Education Mental Health Practice (EMHP)
- Registration with BABCP or BPS
- A relevant undergraduate degree (BSc or equivalent)
 Key Skills & Experience
- Experience delivering 1:1 mental health interventions for children
- Ability to assess risk and respond appropriately
- Confidence working in school environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of safeguarding, consent, and child development
 Practical Requirements
- Ability to travel independently across the local area
- Access to a vehicle for work purposes (reasonable adjustments considered)
